Hi, I'm Chi!

My name is Chidinma Oham (everyone calls me Chi) and I’m a Developer Advocate and AI Researcher.

In August of 2024, I completed my five-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and was awarded First Class Honors. This was after two software engineering internships where I worked on frontend systems and API design.

My academic background gave me the technical foundation I needed to tackle complex engineering challenges but I realized I didn't just want to build software; I wanted to help others build it better. This led me to Developer Advocacy where I focus on enabling engineers around the world. I spend my time representing companies at events, gathering community feedback, creating clear technical content and ensuring that product teams actually hear what developers need.

At the same time, I am deeply invested in the future of intelligence. As an AI Researcher, I follow the rapid advancements in the field but my priority is ensuring we never sacrifice safety for speed. My work centers on ethics and privacy, advocating for systems that are responsible and respectful of the people who use them.

I share my thoughts and findings in my technical writing and on stage at global conferences.

When I’m not busy with anything technical, I love doing three things: planning interior design renovations, working on my tennis forehand and trying out new recipes.
